Skin rejuvenation, wrinkle treatment
In the human body, collagen is the most common protein, accounting for more than 30% of the total weight of all proteins. It is an essential component of bones, teeth, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and skin. The collagen in the skin ensures tight connective tissue, because the collagen fibers have enormous tensile strength and are hardly stretchable. In the course of the natural aging process, the collagen cells that bulge in youth slowly but surely flatten out, since the body's own production of collagen decreases. The skin surface structure changes. The first fine lines form, which are finally recognizable as wrinkles.
Couperose, spider veins and rosacea
Couperose (burst capillaries) is a genetic vascular change that mainly occurs on the face, but also on the décolleté. The finest capillaries (blood vessels) in the skin become porous due to the hereditary vascular wall weakness. This allows the blood to escape from the fine ramifications just below the surface of the skin and becomes visible as redness on the skin's surface. Spider veins (vascular lesions) are tiny blue or reddish varicose veins that typically appear on the lower legs and outer thighs. They lie directly under the skin and are primarily cosmetically disturbing because they shine through. Rosacea - literally translated "little rose petals" - is a skin disease of the face with patchy, sometimes scaly reddening and inflammatory pustules and papules, the origin of which is still unclear.
pigment spots, age spots
Pigment spots tend to appear on the parts of the body that are particularly exposed to the sun, such as the backs of the hands, forearms, face and décolleté. Light skin, frequent or excessively long sunbathing and hormonal influences favor the development. In many people, the aging of the skin becomes apparent as early as the age of 40; over 90% of 60-year-olds in Germany are affected by pigment spots. The skin appears "blotchy" and shows "color disturbances". This is triggered by a change in the skin's pigment cells, which form the skin pigment (melanin).
acne treatment
Acne (acne vulgaris) is one of the most common skin diseases. About 80-90% of the population will be affected at some point in their lives. Acne usually occurs at the onset of puberty, but 25-30 year olds often still suffer from it. The cause is increased sebum production and a cornification disorder. If the sebum can drain away unhindered, the skin is “only” shiny. Due to the cornification disorder (hyperkeratosis), however, microscopically small skin particles clog the sebaceous gland duct. As a result, the sebum produced no longer reaches the surface of the skin and forms a breeding ground for bacteria (e.g. Propioni bacteria). The rapid multiplication of these bacteria leads to inflammation of the affected skin area. If a closed blackhead bursts under the skin due to pressure (e.g. by pressing around), the inflamed pore contents also spread into the surrounding tissue. The acne keeps growing.
